Cracks are the biggest enemy of durable construction. Whether you are plastering a wall or casting a massive concrete slab, shrinkage cracks can weaken your structure over time. That is where Jayma Fiber comes in.

Jayma Fiber is an advanced micro-reinforcement solution used additionally for excellent crack control in a variety of construction applications, including:

  • Internal and external Plaster

  • Standard Concrete mixes

  • Slab casting

  • Brickwork Mortar

  • PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete) roads and driveways

The best part? Using Jayma Fiber is incredibly simple, and there won't be any changes to your standard concrete material ratio. You just add it to your existing mix design.

Here is your complete guide to the correct dosage and mixing methods for the best results on site.

1. The Right Dosage: Choose Your Size and Quantity

To get the maximum structural benefit, you must use the right fiber length and dosage based on your project type.

  • For Plaster Applications: Use 6 mm fiber.

    • Dosage: 1 pouch (60 grams) per 50 kg bag of cement.

  • For Concrete Applications: Use 12 mm or 24 mm fiber.

    • Dosage: 1 pouch (85 grams) per 50 kg bag of cement.

2. Choose Your Mixing Method

For the fibers to work effectively, they need to be uniformly distributed throughout the mix. You can easily achieve this using either a machine mixer or manual hand-mixing.

Method A: Using a Mixer Machine (Recommended)

This is the most effective method for professional sites. It ensures that the fibers disperse completely throughout the concrete without "balling" or clumping up.

  1. Prepare your base: Add your sand, cement, coarse aggregates, and water into the mixer drum exactly as you normally do.

  2. Add the fiber: Add the specified dosage of Jayma Fiber last directly into the wet concrete mix.

  3. Spin it: Run the mixer machine thoroughly at maximum mixing speed for at least 3 to 5 minutes (or roughly 40 drum revolutions).

  4. Apply: Pour, level, and cure your concrete following standard practices.

Method B: Manual Hand-Mixing

If you are working on a smaller project and do not have a machine mixer on site, follow these sequential steps to mix by hand:

  1. Create your heap: Lay out your dry sand, cement, and aggregates into a flat heap (depo).

  2. Scatter the fiber: Sprinkle the dry Jayma Fiber evenly across the top of the dry pile.

  3. Dry mix first: Turn the dry mixture over thoroughly 2 to 3 times with a shovel until the fibers are visibly scattered throughout the dry components. Never add fibers directly to wet cement when hand mixing.

  4. Add water: Gradually add water to your mixed heap.

  5. Final blend: Wet mix the entire batch thoroughly for another 2 to 3 minutes until the moisture and fibers are fully blended into a consistent paste.

Build with Confidence

Adding Jayma Fiber to your construction workflow takes almost no extra time, but it protects your structures from cracks for decades. Ensure your onsite team follows these simple dosage and mixing steps for your next plaster, slab casting, or concrete project.
